Facility will help provide delivery of smart services to investors, and help businesses
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) will set up a new office at the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA) headquarters to further enhance ease of doing business within the integrated free zone technology park.
The two entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further facilitate the delivery of smart services to investors, entrepreneurs and startups, particularly homegrown entities, and help them develop their businesses in areas such as technology,
AI, and smart city applications.
The new GDRFA office at the DSOA headquarters will provide government services directly to DSO-based entrepreneurs and investors.
This is aligned with Dubai’s Smart Government Strategy and the UAE Vision 2021 to ensure the protection of intellectual property and enhance creative thinking skills and applications, while boosting cooperation in the scientific, training and professional fields as well as the exchange of expertise in legal, technical and administrative matters.
Dr Mohammad Al Zarouni, Vice-Chairman and CEO of DSOA, signed the MoU with Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director-General, GDRFA.
